How to Find Your Niche for Blogging [Profitable]

Nowadays Niche is crucial for every blog because a few years back ranking a multi-niche blogs were a lot easier than now. But now, so many blogs are there for a particular niche, and also they are high authority blogs

So, think…

How can you beat those blog’s who are dedicated to a particular niche(topic) with your multi-niche new blog (may be technology + SEO + Fashion)?

Can you?

No! you can’t. (accepting you’re a big giant like Huff post and NYTimes)

This article is all about finding a profitable niche for your blog.

Let’s begin it.

Main Bases for selecting a niche

It doesn’t make sense to say “just go according to your interest” because some of you might want to find a niche for a secondary blog or just for making more money.

There is main two basis of choosing a niche.

  1. Choose niche based on Interest
  2. Choose niche based on Money making ability

So, decide here which is your priority.

Remember: If your interest is on broad niche then you should start right now with its narrowed niche. Because if you have a learning attitude, then you’ll definitely succeed and with time goes you’ll be able to cover broad niche as well.

So here is four scenarios are coming in my mind…

1) Greatest: Your interest + ability to make huge money

2) Good: Your interest + Moderate ability to make money

2) Good: No interest + Able to make huge money(Very huge)

3) Bad: No interest + fewer chances to make money

3) Bad: Your interest + Very fewer opportunities to make money

4) Worst: No interest + Very fewer opportunities to make money

Now, choose which one you want to go for.

I will suggest you: choose the Greatest type.

Call your Interest

Interest can do anything. It can make you successful to any level. There is no limit. If you’re going with your interest, then I would say you’re on the perfect path.

You’ve to find kind of niche which have the ability to make money as well as it’s your interest.

That’s it 🙂

Money Making Ideas

Lot’s of people just want to make huge money, no matter you’re interested in it or not. I’m not saying its bad or good, but I would like to say…

You can grow only to your thinking or imagination. Not more than that.

So, it’s your choice. Choose any one.

How to find niche

Just follow these five steps for finding profitable niche

Head over to Google Keyword Planner

Link: Google Keyword Planner

If you never used it before, then you’ve to connect your Gmail with AdWord account, and after then you can use its features.

Enter your seed keywords (topics which you’re interested in)

Enter your seed keyword, select your country or targeted country, and select your language. Once you do that, scroll down and click on “get ideas” button.

Step 3:

Find the right niche

Now you can see lots of ideas are showing based on your interest. Just look for higher search volume keywords and see the bid of it. (because we want to be profitable too.)

Also, you can find higher search volume niche from “Ad Group Ideas.” section.

Here you can find little broad niche ideas than only keyword ideas. But it’s the great place to find your niche.

Check the competition

You have high search volume niche with a higher bid but what if you can’t rank higher on Google.

If there is big blog sitting over the top then you can’t beat them easily (think…they’re since last 5-10 years and you just started now)

So, you’ve to be smart here.

Check for competition for your keywords or niche.

How can you do that?

Install “MozBar” extension from google chrome and activate it with Moz account.

Once you do that, you can able to see DA(Domain Authority) and PA(Page Authority) of any website or blog.

If your competitors are ranking on first 2 pages with very high DA, PA then that’s very competitive niche(or keyword)

So, search for your niche as well as your niche related keyword in google search and analyze the SERP’s (Search Engine Result Pages)

If low PA(Page Authority) pages are ranking, then you can rank.

Just analyze the competition.

Evergreen Niches

Here are some niches which are evergreen. It means, they will last more than 100 years.

  • Health
  • Technology
  • Marketing
  • Personal Development Skills
  • Relationship
  • Study
  • Sports
  • Entertainment
  • Make Money

All above niche are broad niches. You can drill down and find profitable niches.

For example:

Broad niche: Health

Narrow niche ideas:

  • Weight Loss
  • Muscles building
  • Fitness
  • Healthy diet
  • Excercise routine
  • and much more…

The Conclusion

You should always go for higher search volume niche which has low competition. You need just two tools for that

1) Google Keyword Planner

2) Mozbar Chrom extension

Use these tools and find the great niches. Once you find it, build a blog and go online.

Note: This guide is not about finding a profitable keyword. So, in the whole article, the main context is finding the niche.
